Villa boss McLeish not jealous of QPR spending power

Aston Villa boss Alex McLeish isn't jealous of Mark Hughes' spending power at QPR.

Villa stand in mid-table, seven points clear of a QPR side who have slipped down the league in recent months.

Hughes will be expected by many supporters to lift QPR comfortably clear of trouble.

McLeish said: "He's getting a few bob to spend straight away and that will help him stamp his identity on the team.

"I'm not jealous of him when you know the parameters. I've been in this situation many times before and when it is not in your control there is no point in being jealous or worrying about it. It's about getting the best out of players we have and we have some very good players."
