New Aston Villa boss Alex McLeish is reportedly monitoring the situation of Rangers goalkeeper Allan McGregor. The 29-year old Scotland international has been linked with a few clubs so far this summer although he has made it clear that he is keen to remain at Ibrox.
McLeish is definitely in the market for a new keeper after Brad Friedel left for Tottenham earlier this month and says McGregor is one he is keeping tabs on ahead of the new Premier League season.
"We do need a goalkeeper and there's a number of names I've got in mind," said the former Rangers boss.
"Alan is a good keeper, but agents are bombarding me with hundreds of names."
