Alex McLeish has likened his move to Aston Villa to Mo Johnston's infamous transfer to Rangers.
Johnston sensationally turned his back on a return to Celtic to sign for Graeme Souness' Rangers.
"No, I didn't anticipate how much of a stir it would cause," McLeish admitted. "But if Mo can do it, so can I.
"I didn't think it would go smoothly. Of course not. You can understand the emotions and passions of fans. As long as it doesn't go to the extreme and doesn't get out of control, I can understand the feelings."
