Aston Villa boss Alex McLeish has again reiterated he is unlikely to add any more players before the transfer deadline and has faith in the club's youngsters such as midfielder Gary Gardiner.
He made his full debut in last weekend's win at Wolves and coped with being switched from a central role to a wider position after a half-time reshuffle.
McLeish said: "I've totally ignored the transfer deadline. I keep saying we've got a wage bill to manage and we've not really wavered from that.
"The youth policy, and players like Gary Gardner will get their chance, and hopefully g row up very quickly in this demanding league of ours."
