Aston Villa manager Alex McLeish was understandably let down as his side conceded a late goal at Sunderland today.
The West Midlands club led twice at the Stadium of Light and were a goal up as late as the 89th minute but the Black Cats hit back to force a 2-2 draw thanks to Stephane Sessegnon's header at the death.
The draw denied Villa the chance to move to eighth and McLeish admitted it was a bitter pill to swallow.
"It's frustrating to take the lead so late in the game in what was a pretty controlled performance from us," he said, referring to Richard Dunne's 85th minute header.
"We played well and to lose a goal so late was disappointing."
