Aston Villa boss Alex McLeish is delighted with his squad's team spirit.
Eck is determined to stick to the same formula he has used since first becoming a manager at Motherwell 17 years ago.
"I've always been a believer in team spirit," McLeish told the Sunday Mercury. "In my Aberdeen days, where I played my whole career really, there was always tremendous spirit in the dressing room.
"There were spats, we were no angels, but the spirit through all the squads I ever played with was always pretty good.
"When foreign lads came in, in my later days at Aberdeen, I was the captain and I always made sure that they were welcomed and looked after in the dressing room.
"That's important as well that the long-standing Villa players can do the same to new guys that come here."
