Villa boss McLeish confident keeping Collins, Bent

Aston Villa boss Alex McLeish is confident keeping his squad together.

McLeish insists that James Collins, who has interested QPR and Sunderland, and Bent, who is a Liverpool target, will be staying at Villa Park.

"I've no plans to sell anybody," said McLeish. "Neil Warnock [the QPR manager] has not spoken to me. Maybe there has been a conversation between the chief executives, but normally the manager would make a courtesy call and I've heard nothing."

"I keep saying we are not selling Bent. I've heard there's supposed to have been a bust-up between me and him but there hasn't been.

"So it is an irritation for me to keep telling the truth on this and no one seems to listen. Again, there has been no contact about Bent."
