Aston Villa boss Alex McLeish admits Darren Bent's injury could open the door for Andreas Weimann.

Weimann has scored matchwinning hat-tricks in recent reserve games against both Wolves and West Bromwich Albion.

"It has been difficult for Andi," admitted McLeish. "How do you drop Darren Bent?

"But Weimann is definitely knocking on the door now. He is hungry, wants to score, has a great attitude and he's got clever movement."
