Aston Villa boss Alex McLeish admits he's a big fan of Wolves striker Steven Fletcher.
Fletcher's nine Premier League goals in a struggling Wolves side is only bettered by one Brit - Wayne Rooney.
And ex-Brum boss McLeish revealed: "It was around about the time when James McFadden came.
"Maybe later on you say 'I wish we'd have taken him,' but at the time we only had one choice and we chose Faddy.
"It would have been great to get Fletcher and James because James was flying when he first came.
"But he missed the last six or seven weeks through injury so Fletcher would probably have been good for us." "We had a feeling for Fletcher and were debating whether we should go for him - then Owen Coyle took him off to Burnley.
