Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert was delighted to put five past friendly opponents Walsall last week.

Lambert backed his men to keep scoring and insisted they will get even better before their opener against Arsenal on August 17.

"I think we'll always get goals, we've definitely got goals in us," he said.

"That's there for everybody to see. I don't like to focus on one department of the team, everybody is equally important, but we've got good spirit and hopefully a winning mentality which will stand us in good stead for the season.

"It's important if you can spread the goals around the team too, which we did. It could have been more.

"The good thing was we were pressing throughout the game.

"We are getting better and better."
