Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert was delighted to have secured the services of Gabriel Agbonlahor on Wednesday.
The 27-year old forward, who has made 319 appearances for Villa following his 2005 debut, signed a four-year deal with the West Midlands club which prompted these words from Lambert.
"We're delighted at the club that we've secured Gabby's future here," he said.
"Gabby knows the club and he has a genuine desire to continue to progress."
During his time at Villa, the former Watford and Sheffield Wednesday loanee, has scored 78 goals in all competitions including 67 in the Premier League.
