Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert insists Darren Bent has a role to play in the remaining games of the season.

Lambert says all his fringe players will be needed in the coming weeks.

Asked specifically about Bent's contribution, Lambert replied: "As I've said before, you need everybody at the football club. It's important that the squad is strong and you need everybody to go the same way."
