Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert insists he feels "no animosity" towards Norwich ahead of this weekend's home clash despite the ongoing legal dispute with his former club, reports the Birmingham Mail. The Canaries are suing Lambert for breach of contract, prompting him to launch a counter-claim against them following his bitter departure from Carrow Road to join Villa in June.
"I have no animosity towards Norwich whatsoever," said Lambert, whose team are currently one point above the drop zone and one below Chris Hughton's Canaries.
"I want to win any game and every game. I have huge gratitude towards Norwich City Football Club.
"I had a great time there and things go the way they are. I have no animosity for anyone there.
"It's a game we're going to try and win. I know the Norwich lads probably as well as anyone but we have to win the game. It's our home game."
