Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert is pleased with what he's seen from Ron Vlaar.

The former Feyenoord captain will face a test this weekend against Everton and Marouane Fellaini.

Lambert said: "Ron Vlaar has been excellent for us at the back since he's arrived. He's a strong lad with a great attitude and enthusiasm for the game.

"He had a physical battle last week against West Ham and it will be a bit different for him over here.

"Dutch football is very different to the Premier League - but he's been very good so far."
