Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert doesn't expect any problems with the arrival of Scott Sinclair.

The on-loan Manchester City winger joins Villa with girlfriend Helen Flanagan, formerly of Coronation Street.

Lambert said: "I don't follow that sort of stuff.

"The thing for me is I need to get the best out of him. He's got to play football and if his potential comes out then we've got a really good player.

"I was fortunate to see him close up when he was at Swansea because of my time at Norwich. He was excellent and he had a really good time for Swansea in the Premier League.

"He gets his move and it never materialised the way he wanted it.

"He's a player who has got potential - it's just unwrapped."
