Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert hopes he doesn't cop pelters from Norwich City fans after his departure.
Lambert's departure from the Norfolk club was overshadowed by a disagreement over compensation but the Scot was optimistic that Norwich fans will give him a warm welcome.
"Will I get stick at Carrow Road? I'd like to think not. But at the back of my mind I think it probably will come but I can't help that," Lambert told the Express & Star.
"I gave Norwich City everything I possibly could. I had my reasons for leaving, make what you want of that, but I had my reasons.
"I think when you have success at any football club there always becomes a time to leave and that is way that football evolves. I can always look back on my time there and say I am proud of what happened.
"I have nothing but praise for the fans. Now some of the fans may say I am the worst manager in the club's history because I have left but I understand that because they will be hurt."
