Villa boss Lambert has complete faith in Benteke

Christian Benteke's recent drop in form is not a concern for Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert.

The Belgian striker has failed to score in his past three outings, which included a missed penalty in last weekend's loss to Everton, but Lambert feels his drought is not yet a worry.

"He's missed a couple of chances, so what?," he said.

"He'll come back and he'll score, I've got no worries with that whatsoever, I know if he gets a chance he'll score.

"There're not many times Christian doesn't score.

"I know what he's done for me, I know what he's done for the club, I know what he's done for the team.

"I wasn't going to let the odd couple of chances blight my vision of him. You pick him up, he goes again, in training he's been his normal self."
