Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert hailed the performance of Ashley Westwood for their draw with West Bromwich Albion.
Lambert said the central star has a fine strike on him - as demonstrated with the late goal - but also brilliant pass stats too.
He told Villa's website: "Ashley was excellent the whole night.
"Even in the first half I thought his passing was excellent. His goal was a terrific strike. He's got superb technique. He's a terrific footballer. He's a really clever footballer.
"He was worthy of that goal because I thought he was outstanding. It really was a great strike. It really was.
"He was worthy of that, as I said, because his performance was excellent. I'd love to know how many times he gives the ball away. It can't be many.
"He is a terrific passer and a terrific striker of a ball."
