Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert is grateful to have a supportive chairman like Randy Lerner.
Lambert was delighted with victory over Cardiff City yesterday.
And he said: "I am really fortunate that I have a good relationship with the chief executive Paul Faulkner and Randy.
"It is one of the most important things for a football manager - you have to be stable.
"When it becomes about off-field things, and things not under your control, then it becomes really difficult."
