Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert is delighted with the form of new arrival Matthew Lowton.

Lowton arrived in a £3 million move from Sheffield United last month.

"I think Matthew has done well for a young lad who has stepped up from League One," said Lambert. "I don't think he looks out of place.

"He has done really well and has to continue that.

"With every game he'll pick up things and learn about the game at this level quickly. He's got to get to grips with the Premier League quickly and I'm sure he'll do that."
