Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert was delighted with Jordan Bowery's performance in victory at Stoke City.

The former Chesterfield striker turned in an impressive shift for the visitors.

"I get great satisfaction seeing footballers doing well, it's never about myself," Lambert told Villa's website.

"Jordan was excellent at Stoke. He hasn't played for a long time. He's a young lad, but he's another one who has got a lot of potential."
