Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert is happy to keep hold of two of last season's outcasts.

Lambert has told Charles N'Zogbia and Stephen Ireland their slates have been wiped clean.

He said: "I never judge people on what happened last year. It is up to us to try to get the best out of people."
