Aston Villa boss Paul Lambert admits changing his system after visiting Germany in November.

Villa have developed a new playing style which was inspired by Bayern Munich and their coach Pep Guardiola.

Lambert visited the German giants to watch them train ahead of a switch in tactics earlier this month.

"Things have gone really well and the lads seem to have enjoyed it," he said. "They have grasped the new style really quickly.

"There have been mistakes but, no problem. I don't mind mistakes.

"I don't mind if they make a bad pass or give it away - keep doing it, don't hide form the ball. Always try to dominate the ball."
