Aston Villa boss Gerard Houllier believes his squad is becoming mentally stronger.
Houllier was pleased with the way they battled for a point at Blackpool on Saturday.
He said: "We played some good football but not only that we are mentally and physically strong. We were resilient and disciplined.
"It is not easy when you are away at Blackpool and down to 10 men. It was a hard-fought point.
"We came here to win the game and could have won it after 25 minutes but I have to give my players credit."
