Aston Villa boss Gerard Houllier admits he missed English football - even when he was winning titles with Lyon.
The former Liverpool manager won two championships in France with Lyon.
"When you are at Lyon, the aim is to win the title," he said.
"They won the title before I went there, and we won it twice more while I was there. That's demanding as well.
"The game here is faster and more exciting because you have more teams who want to win than not to lose."
