Aston Villa boss Gerard Houllier was delighted with the spirit shown in their draw with Everton.
The character and unity of Villa's players was highlighted by the way they rallied round Kyle Walker at the break after his mistake which led to Leon Osman's goal.
"There is one thing I said which is that we were a team," said the manager. "When someone makes a mistake the team has got to react and show something.
"The players spoke to Kyle and said you've just got to get on with it because he was affected.
"The whole team reacted well and supported him and said we'll get into this game and we'll get something out of it."
