Villa boss Eck won't take action against stroppy pair Ireland, N'Zogbia

Aston Villa boss Alex McLeish won't go gunning for two of his stroppy players.

McLeish is unlikely to take any further action against big-money stars Steven Ireland and Charles N’Zogbia, says the Daily Star.

Ireland, an £8m buy from Manchester City, was seen to swear at McLeish on the pitch before being substituted at half-time.

The Villa boss has put that one down to showing passion and is thought to be unlikely to pursue £10m N’Zogbia for comments he made on Twitter after the defeat.

He quickly deleted a tweet saying he was not happy playing football for the first time in his life.

McLeish is not a fan of social networking sites, but is likely to remind all players of their responsibilities to the club.
