Aston Villa boss Alex McLeish is considering rookie Samir Carruthers for tonight's game with QPR.
Carruthers has been training with the first team over the past few weeks and McLeish has been impressed with what he has seen.
McLeish told Villa's website: "We've been adding young kids to the squad over the weeks and a few of them are showing up well in training.
"He's a small little winger who has got good feet and I think he's a good footballer.
"Whether he'll make the squad depends on a couple of players with little niggles." "The latest one is wee Samir, who's been impressive in his training with the first team.
