Aston Villa boss Alex McLeish hopes to swell his transfer kitty with fringe player sales.

McLeish could offload fringe players Stiliyan Petrov, Carlos Cuellar and Stephen Ireland to raise cash.

All three players have been linked with Martin O'Neill's Sunderland.
