Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill believes Curtis Davies may have to wait for his debut.
Davies may be champing at the bit, but O'Neill is under no pressure to make changes and will take a softly-softly approach with the former Albion captain.
The Villa boss said: "He's doing a wee bit. We have to ease him into it.
"He's been out for some time and the last thing we want to do is over-stretch him. But he's on his way back.
"He's feeling pretty good and obviously he's desperate to get started.
"But I'm looking things in the long-term, rather than one game coming up on Sunday."
