Villa boosted by return of key trio for Palace trip

Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert will have three of his key players back for this weekend's away fixture at Crystal Palace.

Gabriel Agbonlahor missed last week's 2-1 defeat to Fulham due to illness while midfielder pair Fabian Delph and Karim El Ahmadi were absent because of leg problems.

However, the trio have trained fully this week and are expected to be back in Lambert's line-up as the 13th-placed Villa travel to London to meet the14th-placed Eagles at Selhurst Park.

"Everybody is okay," he told reporters on Thursday.

"The three lads that missed the Fulham game - Gabby, Fabian and Karim - are fine and they trained this week."

Villa have lost their past three Premier League outings so will be looking to get back on the winners list in order to move more than seven points clear of the relegation zone.
