Coventry City defender Daniel Fox hopes to sign a new contract.

Fox is interesting Blackburn Rovers, Aston Villa and Newcastle United after breaking into the England U21 squad this season.

He told the Coventry Telegraph: "Hopefully something will get sorted at the end of the season and I will sign my new contract before I come back for the pre-season.

"I am looking to get it sorted as soon as possible - as soon as the season is finished - so I can put it to bed and then focus on the summer and getting fit for the pre-season.

"I have still got another two years on my contract and the club are not in a position where they have to offer me a new deal but the gaffer obviously wants to reward me for what I have done, which is all credit to him and the chairman."
