Aston Villa are lining up a bid for Manchester City captain Richard Dunne.

The Express & Star says Villa are weighing up a move for £6m-rated City defender Richard Dunne as boss Martin O'Neill looks to bolster his back four.

Dunne, who has been City's player of the year for the last four seasons, has a year left on his £28,000 a week contract and has refused to sign a new deal.
