Aston Villa are chasing Swedish defender Pontus Jansson.
The Daily Star Sunday says Villa boss Paul Lambert is planning a £1million move for Malmo and Sweden centre-half Jansson, 22.
Lambert has been given glowing reports from Villa scouts and could compete with Southampton for the Swede.
