Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew will spend the summer mulling over offering a deal to Aston Villa midfielder Stephen Ireland.
The People says Pardew has yet to make a decision on loan disaster Ireland.
He has played just two games as a sub because of injury.
Villa are desperate to get Ireland off their books and would accept £4million.
