Aston Villa first-team coach Scott Marshall has left the club. The former Brentford and Arsenal full-back took charge of Villa's 2-1 victory over Leicester in Sunday's FA Cup fifth round game after Paul Lambert was sacked.
Ex-Tottenham boss Tim Sherwood has taken over as manager on a three-year deal.
Villa chief executive Tom Fox thanked Marshall for his efforts "especially under difficult circumstances at the weekend".
