Aston Villa attacker Gabby Agbonlahor is happy with his deeper role this season.
Agbonlahor has yet to open his scoring account this season after a prolific run of six goals in seven games helped preserve Villa's Premier League status at the end of last season.
Playing that sort of position you get judged on assists," Agbonlahor told the Birmingham Mail.
"You get judged on goals as well but it's nice, if the goals haven't been coming, to still be getting the assists.
"Maybe before, under different managers, I wouldn't have liked playing there because it was more defensive, but this manager is a lot more attacking so I enjoy playing the role."
