Aston Villa attacker Gabby Agbonlahor was delighted with his performance in victory at Arsenal.
With a good complement of friendly games under his belt, Agbonlahor admits he's ready for the campaign ahead.
He told Villa's website: "I think the big thing is getting a good pre-season under my belt.
"I missed out on virtually the whole pre-season last time out.
"I've had niggles over the past few years in pre-season. That has slowed me down. This time, I have got quite a few games under my belt.
"Being able to do that, I feel good and feel fit. I had a disappointing campaign two seasons ago and then the last two seasons have been better.
"It's nice to get off to a good start for this one too. But I won't get ahead of myself."
