Aston Villa and midfielder Stephen Ireland will hold talks to sort out the player's future.
The 24-year old has made just 11 appearances in all competitions since joining from Manchester City, including just three league starts, and has been publicly criticized by Villa boss Gerard Houllier.
It has been revealed that Ireland is keen to find out what the future holds for him at Villa Park before deciding on whether or not he will request a transfer.
Ireland enjoyed a brilliant 2008/09 season with City under Mark Hughes but lost his way when Roberto Mancini and a handful of stars arrived at Eastlands the following season. He then made way for James Milner who left Villa for City in August.
