Valencia striker David Villa is delighted after a new round of contract talks yesterday.

Jose Luis Tamargo, Villa's agent, met with Valencia president Vicente Soriano and sports chief Fernando Gomez yesterday and left satisfied there was scope to negotiate an improved deal for his client.

"It was a successful first meeting and all parties have agreed to work with each other. I can say that we are all in the same boat, Villa and Valencia," said Tamargo.
