Viking Stavanger have swooped for Crystal Palace forward Kwesi Appiah.

The Croydon Advertiser says Appiah has reportedly joined Norwegian side Viking Stavanger on loan until the summer.

According to sources in Ghana, the striker has flown out to the club's training camp in Spain and met his new team-mates today.

Appiah has had a torrid couple of seasons, getting over a serious knee injury and has been stepping up his recovery in the last few months.

He was interesting League One side Southend over a loan switch at the end of January, but Palace weren't convinced of his full fitness and kept him back to continue his recovery.
