Former AC Milan striker Christian Vieri says the club should not allow Massimiliano Allegri to leave.
Milan president Silvio Berlusconi appears ready to dump Allegri and replace him with Botafogo midfielder Clarence Seedorf as head coach.
But Vieri says: "I would keep Allegri, he had to work after many players had left. Eventually they came third and this was very good.
"The team did a great job and it is thanks to him."
