Patrick Vieira denies he's frustrated by the competition for places at Manchester City.
The 34-year-old, who was brought to City from Inter Milan at the start of this year, was delighted to earn a rare start in the victory over Aston Villa which sees Roberto Mancini's side joint-top of the Premier League going into the New Year.
While previously admitting frustration at not gaining more playing time, the former France captain believes the competition is making him work his hardest.
He told Canal+ TV channel: "That is so good (to start against Villa). I feel like a 20-year-old again that has to prove his worth every day.
"But that is the job and I accept it."
