New York City FC coach Patrick Vieira has been left unimpressed by Arsenal's approach.
Arsenal have made contact with Vieira about the prospect of succeeding Arsene Wenger as manager.
But Sky Sports' Kaveh Solhekol claims the New York City boss has been left "disappointed" as he feels the phone call is nothing more than a "token gesture."
Solhekol tweeted: "Arsenal have contacted Patrick Vieira in the past 24 hours.
"The former Arsenal captain feels the call was a token gesture and he is disappointed."
