Mark Viduka has pulled the pin on his career in Europe. The former Dinamo Zagreb, Celtic, Leeds United, Middlesbrough and Newcastle United striker turned down a deal to join Fulham recently, amid speculation he was about to retire.
The 33-year old has decided to take some time away from the game, essentially ruling him out of any chance of making Australia's 2010 World Cup squad.
The decision for Viduka to end his career in Europe indicates he may be make a return to playing football in Australia, potentially with soon-to-be A-League franchise Melbourne Heart.
