Manchester United captain Nemanja Vidic has told Wayne Rooney any move away will be a step down.David Moyes has repeatedly insisted Rooney is not for sale, including after the Wembley win, and Vidic hopes the England forward will still be at Old Trafford following the closure of the transfer window on September 3.
"I believe Man United is the biggest club in the world and I think there's no point to go anywhere (else)," Vidic said.
"There's so much speculation, so much talk about whether he'll leave or stay. He's at the best club in the world.
"I have to say the last four years I was in that position as well. People were talking about me leaving the club.
"I'm still here and I'm enjoying playing for this club. Nothing has changed."
