Nemanja Vidic took a lot of pride from the cleansheet Manchester United achieved in their victory at Porto.

Vidic said: "It was a good defensive performance.

"It wasn't just about the players at the back, it was about the whole team. We played as a group.

"We knew it was going to be hard. Knowing they hadn't been beaten by an English team at home gave us a bit more energy to put in a performance.

"The last four games, we have conceded many goals - too many.

"It wasn't about getting together and talking about where we had to improve. Sometimes you just have to look at yourself. You cannot defend with two players and you cannot score goals with just two players. It is all about the group and we finally started to play again the way we had played before. We were a unit - all 11 players."
