Vidic insists he wants Man Utd stay

Nemanja Vidic has again pledged his commitment to Manchester United.

Vidic, a pillar of the United rearguard during four years with the club, insists he has no desire to leave the English champions.

"I have never said I'd like to move to Madrid," he said. "I will definitely stay here until 2012 at least - and then we have time to speak about whatever may happen in the future.

"I am enjoying it here and I think I've showed that on the pitch. For now, all I'm focused on is playing the game and doing my best."

One reason Vidic refuses to discuss his long-term position for now is the fear it would damage his performances at a crucial stage of the season.

He said: "Media speculation can affect your concentration and I don't want that now.

"Maybe earlier in the season, because I had a few injuries, people started talking and saying, 'He's not happy'. But none of it came from me."
