Nemanja Vidic has hailed Manchester United's defence as being at it's strongest in years.

Serbia international Vidic told The Sun: "We started badly in the League this year but things are slowly falling into place.

"The United defence is now as hard as a rock.

"We have played together for a few years now and are a tight-knit unit.

"Sir Alex Ferguson always demands total concentration and a fighting approach, and all the players know their duties.

"Rio Ferdinand, Wes Brown, Gary Neville and John O'Shea are all seasoned professionals who know what it's all about."
