tribalfootball.com recently caught up with LA Galaxy assistant coach Dave Sarachan.

Bruce Arena's right-hand man had a very successful playing career in the old North American Soccer League and the Major Indoor Soccer League back in the 1970s and 80s before turning to coaching.

In that caper, Sarachan has achieved plenty of success, particularly with DC United who he lead to a Supporter's Shield plus two MLS Cups.

The Rochester-born Sarachan also helped the USA national team to the quarter-finals of the 2002 World Cup which was an historic event for the sport in the United States.

Sarachan told us about his path into coaching, his relationship with Arena and plenty more relating to soccer in the US and the Galaxy.
